Q. How do I enter an Exposure Fire report in the Incident Reporting System?

A. Exposure Fire reports are begun the same way as any incident report. Click on Add for a new incident. Change the Date and Incident Number to the same as the original incident. You will be given a notice that an incident with the same number already exists and asks if you want to create an Exposure report. Click on Yes to continue, No to cancel.

Q. How do I remove a person from the Personnel Record System?

A. Once permanent records have been entered for a person, that person's name cannot be deleted. However, to remove a person from the visible Active roster, go to that person's Master record, click on Edit and change his or her Status to the appropriate setting other than Active. If that person is to be reinstated at a later date, go to the Select Status Group menu, Select All Groups, return to Master Records and Edit that person's Status back to Active.

Q. How do I integrate third party programs for viewing pictures in FireTools?

A. Each FireTools module has a button titled “Picture” for adding digital pictures. A separate program is not required to add or view digital pictures. Add pictures by simply clicking on the Picture button and follow instructions. Any number of pictures can be added in this manner. A third party program, purchase separately, is required for creating and viewing Pre-Plan drawings in the Site Record System module. Contact FireTools Support for a list of compatible drawing programs and instructions for integrating them.
